GCSE Coursework

Stage 1 - Introduction

Your introduction should be a piece of writing describing what you are studying and giving the background to the project.

This should include information on:

  • The main theme of the investigation e.g. If your coursework is about a honey pot in a National Park you need to describe what National Parks are, the reasons why they were set up etc. Also, include any geographical theory in this section e.g. if you are studying land use in an urban area you should examine the land use models that try to explain your enquiry.

  • The location of the study (include a map)

  • The hypothesis/key questions you are investigating
